The nest
A place for emerging artists
The Nest is a space where young artists push boundaries, take risks, and bring bold new ideas to life. Designed for artists aged 18–26, it sparks cross-disciplinary collaboration, ignites inspiration, and builds lasting creative connections. By bringing emerging artists together—and connecting them with experienced practitioners—The Nest cultivates a multi-generational community where curiosity drives creation and relationships can grow into lasting collaborations. Committed to keeping programming affordable and accessible, The Nest encourages artists to follow their instincts, explore boldly, and let their creativity flourish on its own terms.
"True to its name, a Citizen Arts event makes me feel not only like an artist but a member of a larger community, one where creatives are able to lean on one another for support in a time when citizens need it most."
– Henry Alper
"The Nest kickstarted my journey into creating my own work! With the support of Meg and The Nest initiative, I have explored more artistic endeavors than ever thought I would. It led me to writing poetry, forming a theater company and realizing I'm allowed to pursue more than one artistic endeavor."
– Kris Wilson
