Location: NYCEDC’s MADE Bush Terminal

PART OF THE 2026 CITIZEN ARTS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

From Sky to Earth is a theatrical journey between worlds. Suspended high above the city, a solitary performer begins a passage from the ethereal to the earthly, descending through a landscape where gravity, architecture, and imagination are continually transformed.

An ever-changing presence moves alongside—and sometimes against—the performer: James Brandon Lewis’s live, improvised music. Unbounded by fixed form, it shapes the journey as it unfolds, opening a world in which sound, movement, and meaning are continually discovered and remade.

Acclaimed composer, saxophonist, and 2026 Guggenheim Fellow James Brandon Lewis joins French vertical dance pioneer Antoine Le Menestrel, Artistic Director of Cie Lézards Bleus, for the world premiere of From Sky to Earth.

From Sky to Earth is produced by Citizen Arts and Education with support from FUSED, a program of Villa Albertine and Albertine Foundation, Zankel Music Fund, and the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment
